Audi’s history and current range

Audi has been a German car manufacturer since 1909. The brand name was coined by its founder, August Horch. ‘Audi’ means ‘listen’ in Latin, symbolising engineering precision and attention to detail. In 1932, Audi, Horch, DKW and Wanderer merged to form Auto Union AG (now Audi AG). This is also the origin of the four-ring logo, which symbolises the merger of these companies. Audi is now part of the Volkswagen Group and is one of Europe’s leading car brands.
